Family Welcomes 2003 Together

The Martin family enjoyed the opportunity to be together for New Years this year. Joel and Rebecca flew to Dallas from New Hampshire, and Jason returned in mid December fresh from a semester in Central America.

Martins Continue Studies

Bill and Lenore report that they are well into their Spring semester classes at Mountain View College. This semester Lenore continues her courses toward her undergraduate degree, taking four courses via distance studies (Television and Internet). Bill is taking four courses in computer science, two on-campus and two via the Internet. Lenore comments, “I wanted to see what it’s like to take courses from home via distance studies. It is a different sort of challenge, but it seems to be working out well.”

Jason to Graduate this May 2003

Jason is in his final semester at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. It is a challenging semester for him as he lives off campus for the first time, and balances a class load composed entirely of senior level business classes. He anticipates graduating on May 3rd with a double major, acquiring both a Bachelor of Science in International Business and in Marketing. “At this point I’m not entirely certain what exactly I will do after graduation, but I am working on my resumé and looking at job prospects, and fully trusting the Lord to direct my path,” says Jason.

Joel & Rebecca Exploring Mission Possibilities

While Joel and Rebecca were in Dallas, they spoke with members of the mission community and gathered information about mission work around the world. “The Lord has blessed us where we are,” they say, “but we want to be well prepared in case He should direct us to pursue His work in another place. ”See the last two pages of this special report which accounts some of the ways that your prayers also made a difference!

Thank You!
