Lenore’s follow-up CT-Scan in December showed no evidence of any cancer, and the small spot of “inflammation” in her lung had shrunk to half its size in the 3 months since her previous screening in September – all good news. Her neuropathy continues to lessen with time and her strength has returned to the point that we are looking into a regular exercise routine at a local “Fit Steps For Life” facility which is specially designed for cancer survivors.
Lenore’s next screening will be at the end of March. She is already babysitting Mari three mornings per week, and has plans to resume some tutoring in March.

After a successful launch of Adapt It version 6 in October we have received good feedback from translators on the field. They have made a number of good suggestions for improving Adapt It’s ability to collaborate with other translation software. Bruce and I are working on those improvements as well as a few bug fixes.
It won’t be long before the Adapt It team starts shifting its focus on the design and development of a new version of Adapt It suitable for use on smart phones and tablet computers. This is a new area for our team and will require learning one or two more computer languages as well as the best techniques for programming their touch screen applications. Technology is advancing so quickly, it is a real challenge to plan now for what will be in use in a few years.
Charles Kowak is currently at our Ukarumpa translation center in the PNG highlands. He is attending an Old Testament workshop designed to provide translators with background knowledge and other technical aspects of translating in the Old Testament. In addition to the entire New Testament the Nyindrou people have the book of Genesis, Jonah and Ruth. Charles wants to translate the remaining books of the Old Testament for his own people.
We thank you so much for your prayers, gifts, and letters and emails of encouragement.
