Most Lindrou people live in houses built of local "bush" materials. These houses are generally built up on posts on sandy beaches. The houses in the picture below are all bush houses.

The house in the middle is relatively new with thatch roof and walls that are still a brown color. The house partially visible on the right is older. The house on the left has a thatch roof, but uses rusted corrugated iron panels for its walls. Those panels were surplus left over from world war II.
